With this wine (which I also found with the 2004 I drunk at 5 years old, and loved), I found I much enjoyed the first glass; after 2 hours decanting, but the second glass felt like much more of a tannin-blitzkrieg in my mouth, digging deep tannin trenches that couldn't be removed. Still, I have a soft spot for bit of mouth-bashing tannins in my mouth, so long as it's balanced by quality fruit. :)

Cheers,
Chris PChris Plummerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01038102858732379506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7547979981063230374.post-78532392702150997672011-05-27T20:08:43.626-07:002011-05-27T20:08:43.626-07:00I love a Morris Durif but I generally won't to...I love a Morris Durif but I generally won't touch them until they are at least 10 years old.
I picked up a few bottles of the Stanton and Killeen recently which I probably like a little more but they also cost a few dollars more. I agree that it is suprising that there isn't more Durif coming out of South AustraliaPaulnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7547979981063230374.post-88921005311456572902011-05-25T01:51:37.330-07:002011-05-25T01:51:37.330-07:00Thanks Dasein. Patience and company permitting of course :)

Cheers,
Chris P

p.s. been really enjoying your Beer around the world blog - keep the entries coming!Chris Plummerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01038102858732379506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7547979981063230374.post-85700586261671825812011-05-24T23:55:12.162-07:002011-05-24T23:55:12.162-07:00Sounds interesting. I might check this one out.Daseinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00432430389025328145noreply@blogger.com
