The wine rack's a bit full over here at the moment, but you can guarantee it won't last longer than a week or so. I found the 08 Tintookie (off about a 60ml tasting with their wine flight ) had a wonderful synergy of oak derived texture and deep, old vine fruit flavour, offset by a bright, acidic structure I haven't encountered in any Aussie chenin before.

I must admit to having a look at Dowie Doole's website before I went down there JP (just to check the lowdown on the Tintookie) and lo-behold whose name was partnered alongside the wine? None other than a Mr Jeremy Pringle! Nice work Jeremy! And yes, I do agree it's a new benchmark in Australian chenin blanc ;)

Now, where's that bottle?

Cheers,
Chris PChris Plummerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01038102858732379506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7547979981063230374.post-13172461775001051892010-04-12T17:30:28.527-07:002010-04-12T17:30:28.527-07:00Look forward to reading your full review of the Do...Look forward to reading your full review of the Dowie Doole Tintookie Chenin Blanc 2008.
